A Look Back at a Year of Creativity and Growth

A Look Back at a Year of Creativity and Growth

There’s a gentle kind of magic that settles over the Highlands as Christmas approaches. The days become colder, the evenings grow quieter, and the whole landscape feels wrapped in a soft, wintry stillness. As I sit here sipping a hot chocolate, I can’t help but reflect on how much this year has meant to me and how I look at ResiNation Accessories.

2025 has been a year of growth, creativity, and rediscovering the joy of making things. it feels like the perfect moment to look back on everything that shaped my year.

A Year of Creative Adventures

Crafting has always been where my heart settles, and this year only deepened that love.

I spent countless hours creating beaded bracelets, experimenting with gemstones, colours, patterns, and styles that felt meaningful and expressive. Each bracelet became a tiny story, something made with intention, something I was proud to share.

I also had so much fun designing hair clips, exploring colours and designs. They added a fresh burst of creativity to my workbench and have always been a favourite of mine.

Through these pieces, I rediscovered not just my skills but the joy and calm that come with sitting down to create something beautiful from scratch.

Initial Keyrings: A Beloved Seller Through the Years

Initial keyrings have always been one of the most reliable stars of my collection. They’ve been with me from the early days of ResiNation and have consistently been a customer favourite, simple, meaningful, versatile, and timeless.

People love personalised gifts, especially during the Christmas season. Knowing that something I’ve made becomes a stocking filler or a keepsake someone carries every day is genuinely heart warming.

Their ongoing popularity is what inspired me to take the next creative step this year.

Hand-Stamped Keyrings: A New Creative Chapter

2025 welcomed a brand-new addition: hand-stamped keyrings.

These pieces build on the success of my initial keyrings but offer even more space for personalisation, names, dates, affirmations, symbols, tiny messages that carry meaning.

The stamping process is slow, intentional, and incredibly satisfying. Each piece becomes unique, slightly imperfect in the way only handmade items can be, and full of heart.

Launching them in time for the Christmas Market feels like the perfect way to close out the year, a blend of what’s familiar and something excitingly new.

Preparing for A Christmas Market in the Highlands

Highland Christmas Markets are unlike anything else. The chilled air, the warm lights, the smell of festive treats, the friendly faces, it’s a cosy, joyful experience even before the first customer walks up.

This year, I took the plunge and attended one as a trader

I’ve added a few comforts to make the long, cold market day a little sweeter:

Some super cute rechargeable handwarmers because cold hands and fighting with my card machine are no fun. These little lifesavers are already my best purchase of the season.
A new cup in my brand colours, so I can take a hot chocolate with me and stay warm in style. A small detail, but one that makes me smile every time I look at it.

I also have a branded hoodie and some cardboard to stand on. Having learnt the hard way over the years about having cold toes  . . .  If you know you know.

I also be added fairy lights and tinsel for a soft, festive glow; nothing like a little sparkle to bring the Christmas spirit to my stall.

My stall will be filled with pieces that represent the journey of this year:

  • Handmade gemstone bracelets
  • Hair clips
  • Classic initial keyrings
  • Brand new hand-stamped keyrings

Standing behind that table, knowing how much love went into every single item, is my favourite part of market season.

The Magic of Christmas & a Bright New Year Ahead

Christmas always brings a soft, hopeful magic, a feeling that reminds me why I love creating and why I love being part of the handmade community.

This year feels especially meaningful. I’ve grown as a maker, expanded my inventory, refined my style, and found so much joy in every piece I created. Preparing for the Christmas Market while sipping hot chocolate, wrapped in a cosy jumper, reminds me just how far me and my little business have come.

As 2026 approaches, I’m excited to continue building ResiNation Accessories with more creativity, more confidence, and more heart than ever. I want to explore new designs, attend more markets, and keep sharing pieces that make people smile.

This Christmas isn’t just the end of a creative year

it’s the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.
